Information Collected Automatically

• Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic location. Google Analytics uses cookies.
• Advertising: We may use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure ad performance and reach people who have visited our site. The Meta Pixel uses cookies.
• Payment data: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with a transaction ID, payment status, and the last four digits of your card for reference.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver the Service — creating events, sending invitations, collecting contributions, generating slideshows
• To send transactional emails (invitations, reminders, tribute-ready notifications)
• To send SMS invitations when requested by the coordinator
• To process payments
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the Service based on feedback and usage patterns
• To detect and prevent prohibited content (automated image moderation)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or uploaded content with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Photo and Media Storage

Photos and media uploaded to the Service are stored in secure cloud storage provided by Supabase. Uploaded photos are:

• Accessible only via direct URL — they are not indexed by search engines
• Used solely for generating your tribute slideshow
• Subject to automated content moderation scanning at the time of upload
• Retained for up to 180 days after your event's target date, after which they may be deleted

We do not use your photos for advertising, machine learning training, or any purpose beyond delivering your tribute.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for:

• Analytics: Google Analytics cookies to understand site usage (can be blocked by your browser)
• Advertising: Meta Pixel cookies for ad measurement where configured (can be blocked by your browser)

We do not use cookies for authentication (we use URL-based tokens instead). You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the core Service will continue to function.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• All data transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Database access controlled by row-level security policies
• Payment processing handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
• No storage of passwords (the Service uses token-based access, not user accounts)

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and applicable authorities as required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data and uploaded content
• Opt out of analytics and advertising cookies via your browser settings
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The event coordinator (who must be 18+) is responsible for ensuring that any content involving minors is uploaded with appropriate parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• Event data and photos: Up to 180 days after the event target date
• Payment records: As required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years, stored by Stripe)
• Feedback submissions: Indefinitely, unless you request deletion
• Analytics data: As configured in Google Analytics (typically 14 months)
